Publication ethics
The journal “Bulletin of the Karakalpak Branch of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan” is designed to cover a wide range of scientific research and familiarize the scientific community with the results of research by scientists in accordance with the highest standards of research ethics.
All participants of the publication process, namely the author(s), scientific editor, reviewer, executive secretary, members of the editorial board of the journal “Bulletin of the Karakalpak Branch of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan” must unconditionally adhere to the principles, norms and standards of “Publication Ethics” of the scientific journal “Bulletin of the Karakalpak Branch of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan” (hereinafter - Publication Ethics). The Publication Ethics is developed in accordance with the international publication ethical norms of the Committee on Publication Ethics (CORE)
Publication Ethics establishes norms, principles and standards of ethical behavior of editors, reviewers and authors, measures to identify conflicts of interest, unethical behavior, instructions for withdrawal (retraction), correction and retraction of an article.
Ethical principles are important to ensure and maintain the integrity of all materials published by the journal “Bulletin of the Karakalpak Branch of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, to create a trusting and respectful relationship between the participants of the publication process, and to prevent or resolve conflicts as soon as possible.
Reliability of results and related issues
To ensure that readers can be confident in the quality and reliability of the results presented in published papers, the following rules are applied in the journal “Bulletin of the Karakalpak Branch of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan”:
Data (including images) used and presented in the materials must not be fabricated, manipulated or otherwise distorted to support or achieve the desired conclusions.
Upon request, authors should be prepared to provide relevant documentation or data against which the validity of the results can be verified. Relevant documentation may include raw data, samples, records, etc.
Confidential information in the form of sensitive private information is excluded from this requirement.
Plagiarism and related issues
Submitted manuscripts must not have been previously published (in part or in full) unless the new work is an extension of previously published work. Additional contributions must be clearly stated in the manuscript.
Data, text, or theories of other authors should not be presented as if they were the author's own.
Appropriate acknowledgement of other works should be given by providing full citations of the works; including material that is copied exactly (about verbatim) and that is summarized and/or paraphrased: single quotation marks for verbatim citations (see the style guide of the Journal “Bulletin of Karakalpak Branch of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan”).
The journal “Bulletin of Karakalpak Branch of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan” can use appropriate software to check for plagiarism.
Permissions must be secured by the author to include any material that is protected by copyright.
Authorship of manuscripts
The following rules are applied by the journal “Bulletin of the Karakalpak Branch of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan” to ensure that authors (and other collaborating individuals or organizations) receive due recognition for their contributions.
The responsible author should make sure that all co-authors have given their consent to send the manuscript to the journal “Bulletin of the Karakalpak Branch of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan” before submitting the manuscript.
If multiple authors are listed in the submission to the journal “Bulletin of the Karakalpak Branch of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, they must have sufficient contributions to the work to share collective responsibility and accountability for the results.
During the initial submission to the journal “Bulletin of the Karakalpak Branch of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan” corresponding authors should ensure that the authorship information is identified and agreed upon by all authors. This includes the full list of authors, corresponding author and list of authors.
The journal will not accept any changes in authorship or changes to the list after the paper has been accepted for publication. This rule does not apply when corrections are requested by reviewers and the editor.

Changes to the authorship list must be justified and, where appropriate, accompanied by a letter confirming the authors' consent to any change in the order of names or the author's consent to have his/her name removed from the authorship list.
Research ethics, data protection and primary data collection
If the research results included in an article submitted to the journal “Bulletin of the Karakalpak Branch of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan” include primary data collection or unpublished datasets that are not normally available to researchers, the authors must obtain appropriate approval before conducting the research.
The authors of the article must ensure that all secondary data used in the study are either from a source that authorizes the free use of data for research purposes or this permission has been obtained.
Appeal Procedure
Decisions to accept or reject articles are based on the recommendations of expert reviewers.
The Editorial Board does not consider appeals based on a request for quality. Appeals will be considered only on the basis of:
а. When a conflict of interest is identified with respect to a reviewer or member of the editorial board.
- Confidentiality is not respected in the peer review process. This can be in either direction.
- Reviewers were not provided with necessary information, e.g., additional results or data were not provided.
- All appeals will be reviewed and the individuals submitting them will be notified whether their appeal meets the review criteria outlined above.
- If the appeal is subject to a full review, this will be conducted by the Editor-in-Chief or an independent member of the Editorial Board who was not involved in the original review.
- The outcome of any appeal will be communicated to the author within 1 month of the appeal being lodged.
